
The Woodland Trust are looking for a Head of Estate and Programmes - Scotland, to lead the Trust's Scottish estate and programmes team. This is a homebased role requiring regular travel across Scotland, with a company vehicle provided. The postholder will oversee woodland management to professional and UKWAS accreditation standards, drive delivery of the Treescape Programme, manage a team of site managers and project leads, and oversee a budget of around £5m across multi-disciplinary projects. The role also involves strategic leadership on estate acquisitions and disposals, building partnerships with government bodies, funders and the wider land-use sector, and contributing to the Trust's senior leadership and UK-wide strategy. Candidates should have extensive forestry and land management experience, proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams, strong budget and project management skills, and ideally a forestry-related qualification with membership (or working towards membership) of the Institute of Chartered Foresters.
