Forestry and Land Scotland are looking for an Infrastructure Project Team Forest Planner to join their South Region team, based at Dumfries, Ae or Dalbeattie. The role sits within the Energy and Infrastructure team and supports the delivery of large-scale utility and infrastructure projects across the national forest estate.

The planner will assess the impact of proposed infrastructure on forestry operations and long-term land management plans, prepare and manage amendments to Long-Term Plans, handle Environmental Impact Assessment submissions and other regulatory requirements, and liaise with colleagues, regulators, landowners and external stakeholders.

Applicants will need a sound understanding of forestry practice and land management planning in Scotland, experience of the UK Forestry Standard and UKWAS, an HND or higher in forestry or a related subject (or equivalent experience), and GIS competence.
