Forestry England are looking for a Recreation Operations Manager, based at High Lodge in Thetford Forest, near Brandon, Suffolk. High Lodge is one of the organisation's busiest recreation sites, drawing over 500,000 visitors a year with trails, play areas, cycling facilities, heritage features and commercial partnerships on offer. The role covers day-to-day running of recreation operations at the site, along with support for recreation management across the wider beat areas nearby. Responsibilities span facility and asset upkeep, health and safety oversight, contract management, budget management, and building a cohesive team culture. The postholder will also feed into the East District's broader recreation strategy and commercial growth aims. Occasional national travel with overnight stays may be required.
