
Forestry England are looking for a Woodland Creation Engagement Manager, based flexibly from any Forestry England office with occasional travel and overnight stays. The role sits within the Woodland Creation Team, which is working towards Defra-funded planting targets of around 1,000 hectares of new woodland a year. The postholder will build communication and engagement plans for individual sites, lead early engagement and consultation activities, review and analyse consultation responses, and support community and corporate tree-planting events. The role involves close liaison with colleagues across Forestry England, Forestry Commission and Defra, as well as external stakeholders. Strong stakeholder engagement, communications planning and writing skills are essential. This is a fixed-term post until 31 March 2030, with the possibility of extension or permanency.
